Saving Zelda
Similar to the IGN’s “Losing Samus (and Perspective)” article from a few years back, this guy speaks the truth. Zelda is a clunky, uncoordinated game occasionally wrapped in Charm (see Wind Waker), but lacking everything that made the original so damn memorable.
Long story short: Zelda needs less story, more world, more exploration, less items, less helpless NPCs, and a much harder difficulty level. He points to Demon’s Souls as a modernĀ reimaginingĀ of the original Zelda.
A difficult read for its truthiness, but worth your time.
